NSTA Annual Conference in Boston, MA – Apr 2-4, 2020
April 2 - April 4
Come visit us at Booth 3212 at the Boston Convention and Exhibition Center April 2-4, 2020 and stay to take a hands-on workshop NGSS Practices: Analyzing and Interpreting Data to Construct Explanations in Rm TBA at TBA (location and time will be posted when the sessions listings are finalized). In this workshop, participants will use a data-generating activity to model the process of microevolution. Based on the evidence in the class data set, participants will make graphic depictions of hypotheses that depict what will happen 100 to 1000 years in the future. Graphic conjectures will be evaluated by peers with a silent peer feedback activity. We will conclude the session with a “Claim, Evidence, Reasoning” (CER) approach to defending the graphs made as competing hypotheses are discussed.
